We had a fabulous evening of food and vodka in October, with Adnams looking after the drinks which were matched with the gorgeous dishes created by Ben Hegarty. The recently released Rye Hill vodka turned up too, which is made using rye grown by Jonathan Adnams at his farm in Reydon, just a few miles away from the brewery and distillery in Southwold. DRINK: BLOODY MARY
PAN FRIED MACKEREL
Wasabi mayo, textures of beetroot, orange & vodka dressing
DUO OF PORK
Black pudding purée , roasted baby apples, baby carrots
DRINK: TWISTED APPLE ICE TEA
WHITE CHOCOLATE PANNACOTTA
Mini meringues, honeycomb, blackberry, limoncello jelly
DRINK: FIZZY SHERBET
ADNAMS WHITE CHOCOLATE TRIPLE SEC BISCOTTI
ADNAMS BLOODY MARY
50 ml Adnams Rye Hill vodka, 175 ml tomato juice, cucumber, celery, lemon juice, salt, pepper & Worchester sauce
Add ice, vodka & tomato juice into the cocktail shaker. Grind cucumber & celery together, add to the shaker, add¼ lemon’s juice. Shake! Pour in the glass, add salt, pepper & 4 dashes of Worchester sauce. Enjoy!
25 ml Adnams Triple Sec, 35 ml Adnams East Coast Vodka, 175 ml Cranberry juice, 2 ½ fresh lime juice, 10 ml sugar syrup
Add ice, spirits, cranberry juice, sugar syrup to cocktail shaker, squeeze the lime juice. Shake until the cocktail shaker is “frosted” & serve.
ADNAMS TWISTED APPLE ICE TEA
50 ml Longshore Vodka, 175 ml clear apple juice, 6 lime wedges, fresh mint leaves, dash of lemonade, 25 ml apple & elderflower cordial
Add mint, vodka to serving glass, squeeze the lemon wedges and drop to the glass, add ice. Top with apple juice & lemonade. Stir gently.
ADNAMS FIZZY SHERBET
20 ml Adnams Limoncello, 10 ml Adnams Triple Sec, 10 ml lemonade, pooping candy
Add ice, limoncello & vodka into the cocktail shaker, shake until “frosted”. Strain into a shot glass, top with lemonade. Serve with popping candy.
