The weather is warmer, and the days are longer...perfectly situated on the beautiful coast, we look at why a getaway to Aldeburgh is a must this summer.
Situated in the Suffolk Coast and heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and surrounded by nature reserves and a beautiful seafront, there is plenty of wildlife and scenery to see when out and about. Hire a bike or walk to nearby villages and market towns and take advantage of what the Suffolk coast has to offer.
From oysters and lobster to flat fish and ugly fish, our local fisherman continuously do our county proud and are the very reason why we have such a fantastic reputation for sourcing and producing food of the highest quality, right from our doorstep. This year, enjoy our seafood calendar, serving guests the different fish every month.
Aldeburgh is a great place to indulge in some retail therapy. From well know high street favourites such as Joules, Jack Wills and Adnams to lovely independent shops such as Tilley and Grace and Burnett & Co. With clothes, crafts, gifts, food, home and garden shops there's something for everyone on the high street.
A little trip to Snape Maltings is definitely worth when visiting. A centre for culture and dining, there is something for everyone at the Maltings. The concert hall stages many musical triumphs, from classic opera to contemporary performances. For those who love wildlife, a walk around the marshland is also a lovely way to spend the afternoon.
Sunrise & Sunset
We’re lucky enough to see some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets in Aldeburgh. In the summer, pop by for a Suffolk breakfast or evening tipple and enjoy panoramic sea views of the sea.
Stay with us at the Brudenell with our fantastic summer offer. Escape to the coast and sip on either a ‘high tide’ or ‘good vibes’ gin and tonic whilst watching the waves lap on the beach. Your break with us will include:
• A ‘high tide’ - Fishers gin & Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic or a ‘good vibes’ - Pinkster gin & double Dutch pomegranate & basil tonic for each person
• Dinner in the Seafood & Grill restaurant
• Full breakfast in the morning
