Snape Proms 1st - 31st August

Each Summer musicians from around the world converge on Snape for a series of outstanding concerts in one of the world’s great concert halls. From big bands and orchestras to folk groups and solo artists, there's music for everyone at the Snape Proms.

Discover Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears’ extensive and eclectic art collection.

Delivered by knowledgeable volunteers, this presentation includes a general overview of the art collection as well as more in depth focus on particular highlights.

Folk Fest, Glemham Hall, 18-20 August

Held over the three days in the middle of August, Folk East is must for all music fans with lots of folksy, roots and world music acts taking to the stage in the grounds of Glemham Hall, between Woodbridge and Aldeburgh. 

Line up includes Show of Hands, Irish Mythen, Oysterband, Rodney Branigan, Magnificent Men of Ashton Keynes, Mike McGoldick, John Doyle and John McCusker and many more...

Athough it's only six years old, it’s now well established and retains a unique atmosphere.

Bringing (another) beach to Aldeburgh Carnival 19th August 2018

Beach Bonkers beachcombing will be part of a fabulous day full of fantastic things to do!

Beach Bonkers will be bringing a tableful of beach treasures, a portable beach and a giant beachcombing board game for the Sunday of the Aldeburgh Carnival.

All activities are free. Beach Bonkers beachcombing activities will be located on the green between the Moot Hall and the War memorial on Aldeburgh's sea front.

10am-4pm
