The Christmas tree is starting to droop and all the turkey has finally been eaten! The lead up to Christmas and the few days after are often about big family gatherings and get togethers, a chance to catch up with loved ones and friends and overindulge. After the indulgence of the festive week, thoughts turn to New Years Eve. Now, most people fall into one of two camps, either you’re up for a big night out and you’re happy to queue at a busy bar for a drink and then wait an hour or two for a taxi home, or you prefer a quiet night in with some good TV and a glass or two in the comfort of your own home.
More and more people are choosing a third option which is to get away for New Year. A break away from home still feels special but isn’t as stressful as joining the hoards on the streets in your local town or city, and it’s an opportunity to explore somewhere new, go for relaxing walks and work off some of the Christmas excess!
Our New Year stays are always really popular, start with a mooch around the shops in Aldeburgh, then get ready for our black tie party and seven course dinner. Finish with fireworks on the beach and a glass of champagne. What a great way to start the new year!
